Deepak Shetty serves as the CEO and Managing Director of JCB India Ltd. and is a member of the JCB Group Executive. He operates from the company's India Headquarters located in Delhi-NCR. JCB’s operations in India began over four decades ago and now extend to cover the South Asia region and East Africa.
Prior to his current role, Deepak was the Executive Vice President for Sales, Marketing, Product Support, and Business Development at JCB India. His journey with JCB began in 2010 at the company’s Pune facility. He later moved to the UK, where he led JCB’s Global Excavator business as Managing Director for four years.
Before joining JCB, Deepak spent nearly 17 years with Larsen & Toubro Limited, starting as a Graduate Engineer Trainee. During his tenure, he took on various responsibilities across India and the USA, where he lived for about five years.
Deepak is an elected member of the Confederation of Indian Industry’s (CII) National Council. He chairs the CII Infrastructure Council, contributes to the CII Economic Affairs Council, and is a member of the CII UK-India CEO Forum. He also chaired Excon, South Asia’s largest construction equipment exhibition, in its previous edition.
A Mechanical Engineering graduate from Birla College of Engineering, Deepak pursued management studies at SPJIMR, Mumbai, and the Manchester Business School, UK. In 2021, he was honored with the SPJIMR Distinguished Alumni Award.
Currently residing in Gurugram (Delhi-NCR) with his wife and son, Deepak’s daughter is building her career in Biomedical Engineering after graduating from King’s College, London. Outside of work, he is passionate about reading, traveling, fitness, arts, and culture.
