ICEMA Industry-Government Interface Panel pursues policy related industry issues with the Department of Heavy Industries (DHI) as well as the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), Ministry of Finance & Corporate Affairs and other key Government departments. Apart from making suggestions on measures to spur the sector’s growth, ICEMA specifically provided inputs on addressing the lack of precision component manufacturers in India and developing a pool of skilled workers for the sector. The Panel continued to be the industry’s bridge with ICEMA’s Finance Panel for curating the annual Pre-Budget proposals and recommendations to the Government and represented ICEMA at the CII Taxation Committee.
