About the Event
Indian Construction Equipment Manufacturers’ Association (ICEMA) is an apex body for the Construction Equipment (CE) Industry in India and represents over 90 leading companies that manufacture, trade, and finance a wide range of Construction, Earthmoving, Mining, and Material Handling equipment. ICEMA is an affiliated body of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
The US$6.5 billion Indian Construction Equipment Industry is the 3rd largest in the world, and employs ~3 million people (directly & indirectly). It is a key enabler of world-class Infrastructure creation in the country and driver of the Rs. 111 Lakh Crore National Infrastructure Pipeline (NIP). The CE Industry Vision Plan 2030 envisages the Indian CE Industry to become the 2nd largest Construction Equipment market in the world by 2030 and be established as a manufacturing and export hub for the world.
Needless to say, achieving “Manufacturing Excellence” through product innovation and adoption of smart manufacturing technologies and solutions, forms a key focus area for the Indian CE Industry in its journey towards realising its Vision Plan.
In this context, ICEMA is organizing the CE Manufacturing Summit on 2nd December 2022 at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi, to bring together key industry stakeholders including leading manufacturers of construction equipment and CE components; solutions and technology providers; policymakers, and other accomplished industry leaders. It will offer an excellent platform for the CE OEMs and supply chain partners to establish connect amongst themselves and explore business opportunities.
The Summit will have discussion on key areas including the current issues & challenges being faced by the Indian CE Industry; the role played by the latest technologies in improving the manufacturing efficiency of the industry and the need to create a robust and resilient supply chain for supporting the growth of the CE industry in India. The summit will also deliberate as to how the Indian CE industry is able to align itself with the Government’s vision of Aatma Nirbhar Bharat.

Pratik Kumar is a member of Wipro’s senior leadership team, closely associated with Wipro’s growth over the years. He has played a significant role in shaping Wipro into a leading global player over his more than two and a half decades of association with the company.
He assumed leadership as CEO of Wipro Infrastructure Engineering (WIN) in July of 2010. Since its inception over 40 years back, WIN’s hydraulics business is a global leader in custom-built Hydraulic Cylinders.
Pratik has scripted WIN’s journey into new businesses, Industrial Automation, Aerospace and Additive Manufacturing and consolidated its leadership in the existing business of Hydraulics and Water. He has led the company’s expansion into growth markets and geographies. Today WIN has 21 state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities across four continents. In the last 12 years, WIN has acquired Five Companies and forged a joint venture with Kawasaki.
Pratik spent his initial years at Wipro in the IT business before taking over the mantle of HR leadership of the Corporation in 2002. Under Pratik’s leadership, Wipro was recognized as the first company in the world to be assessed at PCMM Level 5, the highest maturity level on the SEI framework of Carnegie Mellon University.
Pratik is a member of the Board of Wipro Enterprises (P) Limited and a member of the Group Executive Council of Wipro Group. He is an active member of the various industry bodies.

Deepak Shetty is the CEO and Managing Director of JCB India Ltd. He is also a member of the JCB Group Exec and is based out of the India Headquarters at Delhi-NCR. The India operations of JCB commenced over four decades ago and today also include the South Asia Region.
Prior to this, he was the Executive Vice President – Sales, Marketing, Product Support and Business Development. Deepak joined JCB India’s Pune operations in 2010 and later went on to become the Managing Director of JCB’s Global Excavator business in the UK for four years.
Before joining JCB, Deepak worked for Larsen and Toubro Limited for about 17 years. He joined the engineering conglomerate as a Graduate Engineer Trainee and then moved on to different roles and responsibilities in India and later in the USA where he lived for about five years.
He is a member of CII’s (Confederation of Indian Industry) National Council and Chairs the CII National Committee on Capital Goods and Engineering. He is a part of CII’s committees on Roads and Highways and also on Hydrogen. He Chaired this year’s Excon, South Asia’s largest exhibition for Construction Equipment and is also a member of the CII UK India CEO Forum.
Deepak is a Mechanical Engineer from the Birla College of Engineering and is an alumnus of SPJIMR, Mumbai and the Manchester Business School, the UK where he pursued management studies. In 2021, he was awarded the SPJIMR distinguished Alumni award.

Mr. V Vivekanand is the Facility Manager and Director of Caterpillar India Pvt. Ltd., RIOP Division, Thiruvallur.
As a Managing Director of RIOP, Mr. Vivekanand is responsible for the performance of the Caterpillar India operation in Thiruvallur as well as developing and executing the long-term strategy for the facility in alignment with the overall Caterpillar strategy.
In his 25 years at Caterpillar, Mr. Vivekanand has held various leadership positions in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, 6 Sigma and Caterpillar Production System (CPS). While currently based in Chennai, he has had previous assignments in Hosur, India. Anjali Pandey is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Cummins Group in India. In this role, she is responsible for driving the growth of all Cummins businesses and providing leadership and direction to execute organization’s strategy. Her priorities include partnering with customers in their energy transition journey to decarbonization, positioning Cummins India as the manufacturing hub for the world, and enhancing Cummins reputation as a leading technology solutions provider.
Anjali’s association with Cummins India dates to 2001. During her tenure she has led multiple roles in Internal Audit, Sourcing, Business Leadership and Strategy. Prior to her appointment as the COO, Anjali successfully led the Engine and Components Business for Cummins in India. Under her aegis, Cummins successfully partnered with its customers to transition and implement BSVI emissions norms for Commercial Vehicles segment in April 2020.
Anjali holds a BE in Production Engineering and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the Kelley School of Business, Indiana, USA. Dilip is responsible for leading Rockwell Automation’s India business – developing the market, creating partnerships and building a team that serves customers across industries, all over the country. Dilip has three decades of experience in Industrial Automation & Healthcare technology industries.
He joined Rockwell Automation in August 2008. He graduated with Honors in Electrical Engineering from IIT Roorkee.
Dilip began his career in with Larsen & Toubro Ltd thru their GET program. In 1995 Dilip joined GE as Sales Manager with GE Fanuc and grew to the position of country CEO through roles of increasing responsibility in India and the USA. In 2005 Dilip moved to GE Healthcare as Vice President – Sales for South Asia from where he moved to Rockwell Automation in his current assignment.
Dilip is passionate about Smart Manufacturing. He has been the past President of Automation Industry Association (AIA) and was recently the Co-Chair of CII’s Smart Manufacturing Council.
Dilip is married to Anju and they live in New Delhi with their two daughters.

Surjya K Pal was the Lord Kumar Bhattacharyya Chair Professor in Manufacturing in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at IIT Kharagpur. He is the Founder Chairperson of the Centre of Excellence in Advanced Manufacturing Technology; a Centre focused to solving the industrial problems. He has served as a visiting professor in University of Connecticut, USA, and presently is a visiting professor in University of Huddersfield, UK. He has published 299 research articles, including, 183 International and National Journal Papers, 15 International Book Chapters, and 90 Conference papers. He has filed 12 patents. His innovation, “Low-cost AI solution for metrological inspection,” is selected in the top 3 by INDIAai Lab2Market (The National AI Portal of India, a MeitY, NeGD, and NASSCOM initiative). He has two patents jointly with TATA Consultancy Services. He is the author of the textbook, “Digital Twin – Fundamental Concepts to Applications in Advanced Manufacturing.” Under his esteemed supervision, 21 scholars have completed their doctorate degrees, and 15 are continuing. Prof. Pal has executed a huge number of projects worth over INR 85 Cr. He was also the Associate Dean of Alumni Affairs and Branding at IIT Kharagpur. Professor Pal has been awarded with prestigious Indian National Academy of Engineering (INAE) fellowship for his outstanding contribution to science and technology. He has also been featured in the list of top 2% researchers around the world published by Stanford University Rankings 2022.

A Mechanical Engineer from REC Trichy, Sundar has over 33 years of experience in leadership roles across multiple functions. Prior to joining Wipro Infrastructure Engineering, he has worked in Pricol Limited, JCB India, Tecumseh Products, Whirlpool India and others.
Sundar is known for his ability to turn around organizations and is responsible for the geographical expansion of Wipro PARI in new regions (Turkey, Vietnam, Romania, Brazil), Wipro PARI Bengaluru Operations, Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) segment growth & Wipro Ltd synergy along with Smart Factories & Smart Products.

Shri. A. A. Badusha has been associated with the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), Pune, since 1989, and is presently heading the Vehicle Evaluation Laboratory, Safety and Homologation laboratory, Homologation Management Group and Vehicle Regulatory functions, in the capacity of Senior Deputy Director.
He is basically a Mechanical Engineering graduate and a rank holder from the University of Madras specialized in Automobiles and also holds a Master’s degree in Business Management.With rich experience of 33 plus years encompassing various technical areas, and in the field of Vehicle and Components Evaluation in particular, he is an active member of various Technical Committees, viz. “CMVR – Technical Standing Committee(TSC)”, “Automotive Industry Standards Committee (AISC)”, TED committees of Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), World Forum WP-29 (GRVA) and other Sub-committees of the CMVR-TSC. He is the Secretary of the India-GRVA group dealing with Autonomous and Connected Vehicles and participates in International forum for Harmonization of vehicle standards at UN-ECE, Geneva.
He has been the convenor for about 30 AIS technical panels and presently the Chairman of the TED-4 and TED-22 Committee of BIS. He was the Convenor of the last SIAT 2019 is also Management Committee Member for all SAE INDIA and SAE INDIA Western Section activities
