ICEMA’s activities are guided by the Governing Council which comprises of the representatives from some of the top players in the construction equipment industry. The directives of the Governing Council are pursued through 7 key panels that focuses on the key priority areas for the association in general and the entire CE industry in particular. Each panel is headed by the Convener & Co-Convener who are essentially part of the Governing Council and guide and advise ICEMA Secretariat on panel activities.

BRAND BUILDING & COMMUNICATION PANEL

A strong Indian CE industry brand both within India as well as at the global level, can enable the industry to realize its full growth potential and contribute to India’s economic growth. In this context ICEMA has set itself the vision to build the Indian CE industry’s image as a globally competitive and technologically advanced industry. The Brand Building & Communication Panel at ICEMA, comprising of CMOs and marketing heads of some of the best names in the industry, drives this vision of the organisation.

FINANCIAL ECOSYSTEM PANEL

A key aspect of the successful implementation of the Vision Plan 2030 requires coordinated efforts across the financial ecosystem. This will require a three-pronged approach: engaging with government to help build an enabling policy framework, endeavor to improve access to financial resources and explore new business models for the CE industry.

INDUSTRY ANALYSIS & INSIGHTS PANEL

Robust and credible market intelligence is a key input for thought leadership. ICEMA’s Industry Analysis & Insights Panel provides this key input by collating, generating, and analyzing market intelligence.

The Panel releases value-added monthly, quarterly, and annual CE industry data reports, the highlights of which are shared with a wider audience. The overall Indian CE industry equipment sales forecast, as outlined in the Vision Plan 2030, is periodically reviewed, and updated by this Panel.

MANUFACTURING & SUPPLY CHAIN PANEL

Strengthening the manufacturing ecosystem of India’s CE Industry is one of the most significant aspects of achieving its Vision Plan 2030. ICEMA’s Manufacturing & Supply Chain Panel works to strengthen this ecosystem by creating platforms to enhance global competitiveness of OEMs, de-risk the supply chain and encourage increased indigenization amongst others. Towards this end the panel continuously engages with relevant stakeholders including government, industry, supply chain partners, academic/ R&D institutions and others.

S.M.A.R.T INFRA PANEL

India’s CE industry will remain a critical enabler in enabling the achievement of the Government’s plan of making the country a USD 5 trillion economy given that this ambitious target will be largely driven by infrastructure development. Towards this end it is critical to ensure that India’s CE industry is robust and capable of holding strong during different waves of the business cycle. It is also critical for the industry to achieve 3x growth by 2030.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS PANEL

Strategic partnerships strengthen ICEMA’s ability to respond to its members’ needs, address challenge and expand the basket of opportunities. These also play a critical role in exploring new markets for the Indian CE industry and enhancing the industry’s global brand image.

In this backdrop, ICEMA Strategic Partnerships Panel identifies and strives to partner with select State Governments that offer potential for Indian CE industry as well as Central Government projects in states.

TECHNOLOGY & SUSTAINABILITY PANEL

To establish a firm global footing and sustained growth, the Indian CE industry needs to build a stable foundation tethered to technology development. It will also need to work towards becoming an increasingly sustainable industry.

The Technology & Sustainability Panel at ICEMA engages with the key Government stakeholders, including regulatory bodies, ministries, and relevant departments to build a facilitative regulatory environment to achieve these goals. Some specific areas of engagement include emission norms for Off-Highway CEMM equipment, safety & emission (CEV Stage IV and V) regulations and CEMM related regulatory issues.
